What is Ballet?
Ballet is the cornerstone of technical dance training. At JA Dance School, we encourage all students to attend at least one ballet class per week to support their development in strength, posture, musicality, and artistry.
Rooted in the Italian Renaissance and refined through centuries of tradition in France and Russia, ballet has evolved into a timeless art form. The ISTD’s Imperial Classical Ballet syllabus draws from the French School and promotes the English classical style, focusing on sound technique and musical interpretation.
Whether your child is just beginning or continuing their journey, ballet nurtures discipline, confidence, and creativity, laying a strong foundation for all other dance styles.
For Children:
Our children’s ballet classes are designed to inspire joy and imagination while building strong technical foundations. Through age-appropriate exercises and creative movement, young students learn to express themselves, develop coordination, and grow in confidence.
For Adults:
Adult ballet classes offer a welcoming and supportive environment to explore movement, improve posture, balance and flexibility, and build confidence. Whether you're returning to ballet or trying it for the first time, our classes focus on clear, structured training that promotes physical well-being and personal progress at your own pace.
