 What is Modern Theatre?

Modern Theatre Dance is a dynamic and expressive style often seen in musical theatre and stage productions. Originating in America, it blends elements of jazz, contemporary, and lyrical dance to create a versatile and theatrical form. The ISTD syllabus reflects this fusion, training dancers to be disciplined, versatile, and performance ready.

Unlike classical styles, Modern Theatre embraces energetic movement, high kicks, leaps, and turns, evolving with current trends while prioritizing strength, flexibility, and musicality.

For Children:
Children’s Modern Theatre classes are lively and engaging, helping young students develop coordination, performance skills, and confidence. Through imaginative routines and age-appropriate technique, students explore storytelling through movement in a fun and structured environment that encourages growth and enjoyment.
